737 takes to the air with B50 biodiesel power

A Continental 737-800 ran a test flight out of Texas using B50 (50% biodiesel, 50% jet fuel) in one of its two engines. The test included an intentional mid-air engine restart. The majority of the biofuel feedstock was jatropha, with the remainder derived from algae oil. Algal oil was provided by Sapphire Energy and jatropha oil by Terrasol.
